The correct SimPure replacement depends on the full model name and cartridge position. Match those before comparing prices. This guide covers the verified Y7/Y7P-BW/Y7P-W kit, the Y9A set and the T1-400ALK kit; it is not a universal compatibility chart for every SimPure product.
A similar-looking cartridge or a matching brand logo is not sufficient evidence of fit. Photograph the machine’s model label and the installed cartridge markings before shopping. Keep both images with your order history so a future purchase does not depend on remembering which suffix you own.
Verified replacement sets and their boundaries
The following contents and USD prices were checked against the official product listings on October 15, 2026. Retail bundle SKUs identify the seller’s packages; they are not necessarily the part numbers printed on individual cartridges. Prices exclude any checkout adjustments, tax and delivery charges.
| Machine | Official kit / retail SKU | Contents | Displayed price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Y7 / Y7P-BW / Y7P-W | 6-month kit Y7P-Filter-6MONTH |
1 CF + 1 RO | $53.99 |
| Y7 / Y7P-BW / Y7P-W | 12-month kit Y7P-Filter-12MONTH |
2 CF + 2 RO | $99.99 |
| Y9A | Y9A replacement set Y9A-SET-JAY |
1 PPC + 1 RO + 1 ALK | $105.00 |
| T1-400ALK only | 6-month kit HEROF029Z_SE |
1 PP + 1 CTO + 1 ALK | $69.99 |
| T1-400ALK only | 12-month kit HEROF028Z_SE |
2 PP + 2 CTO + 2 ALK + 1 RO | $179.99 |
The Y7 kit page explicitly lists the three models above and says WP1 and Y7P-BW packaging can contain the same filter. That documented packaging equivalence does not establish compatibility with every WP1-branded item or with Y7T, Y9, Q3 or an unrelated brand.
The Y9A page describes Y9-series compatibility and ALK/T33 interchangeability. We have not established every historical Y9 revision. If your label says something other than Y9A, confirm the exact serial/model combination and the desired cartridge function before relying on that broader series wording.
Likewise, the T1 kit explicitly names T1-400ALK. Do not infer that T1-400, T1-100 or T2 models share this kit simply because the product names resemble one another. When a seller claims wider compatibility than the official listing, ask for written confirmation identifying your machine.
Old cartridge numbers and current bundle SKUs serve different purposes
The older Y7P-series manual, printed page 16, identifies CF part HEDPF3005_S9 and RO part HEDPF4005_S9. Its recommended cycle is six months, subject to feed-water conditions.
If those are the codes on your cartridges, retain them when asking about a current kit. A bundle name can change while the underlying fit remains the same; conversely, a familiar family name can survive a hardware revision. Ask the seller to connect the two identities explicitly rather than deciding from the photograph alone.
For an unlisted or older machine, the useful support request is concise: exact model, serial number if available, photographs of the old filter and connector, and the proposed replacement SKU. Ask which cartridge goes in which position and which manual applies. That is more likely to resolve the problem than asking whether “a SimPure filter” fits.
Calculate maintenance cost from the schedule, not the headline price
For the verified Y7 kit, two six-month purchases at the displayed prices would cost $107.98. The 12-month package costs $99.99: a $7.99 difference for the same listed quantities. These are simple calculations using the dated prices above, not a forecast of future discounts or delivery costs.
That comparison gives two sensible purchasing approaches. Buy the larger package if you expect to keep the compatible machine and will store the spare cartridges according to their instructions. Buy the smaller package if confirming fit or limiting unused stock matters more than the calculated package saving.
For a new machine supplied with filters, do not count the included set again as a replacement purchase. Put each future change on a calendar. A replacement due exactly at month 12 may fall inside or outside your chosen first-year spending window. State that boundary before comparing two systems.
The T1-400ALK kit page specifies six-month PP/CTO/ALK changes and a 12-month RO change. Its smaller kit therefore omits the membrane. Multiplying $69.99 by two does not reproduce the larger kit’s contents: the RO cartridge must still be accounted for. Use the actual required parts basket when comparing bundles.
The $105 Y9A price is for one stated set. This guide does not establish that buying one such set equals a year of maintenance for every Y9 configuration. Verify the schedule and any different cartridge lifespans for your exact unit before annualizing it.
A practical recurring-cost formula is: required cartridge quantities multiplied by current unit or bundle prices, plus delivery and applicable tax. Keep cleaning supplies and other operating costs separate. Also confirm whether checkout is a one-time purchase or a recurring order; a convenient delivery schedule is not proof that the replacement timing suits your water and usage.
Y7P-series replacement and reset: use the matching instructions
The linked manual’s printed pages 15–16 instruct owners to unplug, remove and empty the feed tank, replace the cartridge by its twist fitting, then restore the tank and power. Hold Reset for three seconds, select the changed CF or RO filter, then hold Reset at least three seconds to confirm. Follow the full flushing procedure on printed pages 9–10. Use this summary only with a matching Y7P-series control panel.
Resetting the indicator records service; it does not renew a used cartridge. If the buttons or filter connections differ, stop and obtain the manual for that revision. Do not adapt this countertop sequence to a plumbed under-sink or whole-house system.
Allow time for flushing after installation, and retain the filter packaging until fit and operation are confirmed. The cartridge label, purchase date and next service date make a useful three-entry maintenance record. If you replace CF and RO at different times, record them separately.
When a new filter is not the next purchase
Before ordering another set to fix a fault, record the indicator pattern and the symptom: no production, a leaking tank, low output, or an actual filter reminder. SimPure’s Y7P support page separates filter replacement, all-lights-flashing and water-shortage/change-water troubleshooting. Use the branch that matches the problem instead of assuming every symptom is an exhausted membrane.
For a known treatment concern, a successful reset is not evidence of contaminant reduction. The CDC’s maintenance guidance emphasizes following manufacturer replacement recommendations. If performance remains questionable after the correct service procedure, seek model-specific support and appropriate water testing rather than repeatedly resetting the reminder.
Do not fit an uncertain cartridge to see whether it works and then rely on returning it. The direct-store return policy requires unused items. Resolve compatibility before opening or wetting the filter, and keep written seller confirmation if your model is a legacy variant.
